Benefits of organic eucalyptus essential oil – General benefits and origin
Eucalyptus is an evergreen tree that can grow up to 90 meters. It has a light brown bark which gives off strips, long, narrow, bluish-green leaves and cream-colored flowers.
Eucalyptus essential oil has a characteristic balsamic scent and is a powerful natural disinfectant as well as a powerful insect repellent.
Its most characteristic use is as nasal decongestant and to treat respiratory infections.
When used in vapor therapy, eucalyptus essential oil relaxes the mucous membranes, cleanses the nasal passages, expands the blood vessels and allows a greater inhalation of oxygen which facilitates breathing and helps cleanse the lungs.
In massage therapy its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and diuretic properties help relieve muscular, rheumatic, articular, arthritic and nervous pain, as well as migraines, stiff muscles, lumbago and fibromyalgia.
